Another short and sweet review today of another magic app. This one is a web app. It is a fun app at a great price. It comes with an easy-to-follow tutorial just under 15 minutes long. The app gives you the ability to seemingly prove that you have every contact in your phone memorized in an uncanny way.
It uses your genuine contact list, and you get to decide when it’s your genuine list and when it’s in “performance mode.” So if they know some of the people in your contact list, they can go to them and they will see the phone number they expect, but with one sneaky press of the screen, the next time they touch random people, you will always know precisely what number to say and any notes/addresses or anything else that’s in the contact. You can reveal up to 5 contacts’ information. For the grand finale they can name any three numbers and you’re able to name all of the people that have those three numbers consecutively in their phone number.
It definitely seems impossible, and it’s practically self working. You will have to genuinely memorize some phone numbers, but you get full control over those numbers, so you can use real numbers from your life that you already know, making it really easy to get up and going.
Overall, I like it. It’s a unique way to present a memorization stunt. It toes the line of being really believable, so you have to know they will probably walk away being impressed at your memory more than a feeling of magic. It’s actually similar in some ways to Justin Willman’s zip code thing from his Netflix special. As you watch you wonder if he’s just actually memorized it or if there’s something more too it. This is similar.
Available at the link below for $49.95 for the next 48 hours and then the price jumps to $69.95 so it’s worth picking up now if you’re interested.
